The 2011 Pacesetter “College Prep” Basketball Camp is designed for high-level players entering grades 9-12 who would like to prepare for college-level basketball by learning the complete offensive and defensive skills needed to attract college coaches.

“College Prep” Camp Program
Players will be taught all individual skills needed to push their game to a college level, including 1) handling full-court pressure in 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3 situations, plus attacking full-court zone and man-to-man presses, 2) passing against full and half court pressure, 3) learning to get open and get to the basket against strong, quick players, 4) learning to post up and score or pass from the post, 5) learning to move without the ball to attack and breakdown the defense and score off passes, 6) learning facing moves to break down individual defenders and create shots off the dribble, 7) learning to use the pick and roll in various ways and to defend it on defense, 8) learning to rebound against power players and create fastbreaks from rebounds and steals, 9) learning tips on health and fitness and strength, 10) learning how to get the attention of college coaches.
Coaching Staff
The ratio of players to coaches will not exceed 12-1, so all players will get excellent individual attention. This camp will be limited to 48 players, so players will have ready access to the available baskets and coaches. This camp is limited to the first 48 players to register.

Camp Fees and Room and Board Option
Players may commute or receive room and board. The camp fee is $145 for the teaching program and 24 hours of instruction. The fee for seven meals and all snacks is $50, and two nights lodging is $80. The Paynesville Inn and Suites, where all coaches and players will be housed, is across from the school. This hotel is relatively new with a swimming pool and dining area for breakfast.
Supervision
Residential players will be supervised 24 hours a day by the Pacesetter staff. The Pacesetter coaching staff will accompany all campers every step from the hotel to the gym and back. The Pacesetter staff will also stay in rooms next to the players to maintain 24-hour supervision.
