Jeff McCarron, Director/MBBN publisher
jeffThe owner and Director of Pacesetter Sports is Jeff McCarron, who began working in camps in 1976 and created Pacesetter in 1980. He has been a basketball camp clinician and the director of all Pacesetter activities for the past 30 years. Since starting Pacesetter in 1980, McCarron has helped provide over 3,500 programs for over 250,000 young athletes. He has also been the publisher of Minnesota Basketball News since 1994.

McCarron was a member of Minnesota’s last single-class state high school basketball championship team with Sherburn in 1970 and was a member of the Minnesota Gophers’ Big Ten basketball championship team in 1972.

Tracey Haines, Office Manager/Coordinator
Tracey has been Office Manager/Coordinator of Pacesetter Sports since 1991.  She graduated from The University of Minnesota at Morris in 1989.

Jessie (Asuma) Curry
Jessie joined the Pacesetter staff in the fall of 2009 as an office assistant and volleyball coordinator.  Jessie was a Pacesetter player in youth tournaments for Cherry.  Her father Robert is the head boys' coach at Cherry.  Jessie was named the Female Athlete of the Year at Fergus Falls Community College participating in three sports: volleyball, basketball and softball.  Her husband, Caleb Curry, was also a Pacesetter player at Alexandria, where his team won the Minnesota state championship for 9th grade.  Caleb won the Male Athlete of the Year at Fergus Falls CC, playing baseball.  Jessie and Caleb then became Iowa Hawkeyes, where Caleb earned All-Big Ten honors and led the nation in stealing bases.  Caleb was drafted by the San Francisco Giants and is currently playing professional baseball for the River City Rascals in St. Louis, where his team won the league championship in 2010.

Ron Haggstrom, Minnesota Basketball News Editor
Ron has been the editor of Minnesota Basketball News since 2001.  He was formerly the sports editor of the Mesabi Daily news in Virginia for 13 years and currently works full-time for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Dave Hill, Photographer/Tournament Director
dave Dave has been the photographer for Minnesota Basketball News since 2001.
Dave is a freelance photographer who covers sports from the high school to professional level throughout Minnesota.
He also works as an independent consultant in business and technologies.

John McCarron, Webmaster
John is a computer consultant with over 30 years of experience and currently working at John Deere in Moline, Illinois.

He maintains the Pacesetter and Minnesota Basketball News website.
